Lebanese marriage and matchmaking in Canada

Lebanese Canadians are the largest Arab-origin community in the country, rooted in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Windsor and Halifax for generations. Amanina introduces marriage-minded Lebanese singles — Maronite, Orthodox, Melkite, Sunni, Shia, Druze and secular — a few at a time, each with a written reason. Your heritage is part of your story here; it is never a filter.

A community that was always many faiths

Lebanon has never been one faith, and neither has its diaspora. A Maronite family in Laval, a Shia family in Windsor, an Orthodox family in Ottawa, a Sunni family in Mississauga and a Druze family in Toronto are all Lebanese, and they all marry with the same questions in the room. Which village, which church or mosque, how observant, and what the mother will say.

Amanina was built for exactly that breadth. You describe your faith and observance in your own words, and it shapes who you meet. A practising Maronite member is introduced to people who share that path; a practising Shia member likewise; a member who would say "cultural, not religious" is taken at their word.

Heritage in the story, not in the filter

Amanina does not sort members by nationality and never will. There is no Lebanese-only pool, because a pool built on origin would quietly exclude the Syrian, Palestinian or Canadian-born person who might be exactly right. What Amanina does instead is listen: you say what your heritage, your dialect and your family's region mean to you, and that becomes part of how an introduction is chosen and explained. Heritage counts neither for nor against anyone.

The questions your family will ask, asked first

How you picture a home, how you hold faith, what family closeness looks like, whether you would move — these are the questions a Lebanese family asks over coffee before anything else. Amanina asks them at the start, in your own words, so that the introductions that reach you already answer them. Every introduction comes with a plain-language read of why this person and you might fit, and the one honest question worth asking first.

Family has a seat

You can invite a parent or a trusted elder to take part in a structured, respectful way. They see what you choose to share, when you choose to share it, and a mother can open the door for her adult child and hand it over with consent. Conversations open only when both people say yes; photos stay private until both choose.

Across Canada, in three languages

Amanina speaks English, Canadian French and Arabic, with a full right-to-left Arabic interface, so a member in Montreal and a member in Halifax can each use it in their own language. Every member verifies they are a real person first. There is no App Store to visit: open amanina.ca in your browser and add it to your home screen.
