Egyptian marriage and matchmaking in Canada

Egyptian Canadians are one of the largest Arab-origin communities in the country, concentrated in Mississauga, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. Amanina introduces marriage-minded Egyptian singles — Muslim and Coptic — a few at a time, each with a written reason. Your heritage is part of your story here, never a filter, and your identity is yours to name.

Muslim and Coptic, side by side

Egypt's diaspora in Canada carries two great traditions. Muslim families whose weeks turn around Friday prayer and the kitchen, and Coptic Orthodox families whose year turns around the fasts and the feasts. Both marry with family in the room, both ask about faith before anything else, and both deserve an app that knows the difference.

Amanina serves both. You describe your faith and observance in your own words, and it shapes who you meet. A Coptic member is introduced to people who share that path, a Muslim member likewise. Where a community holds a distinct identity, as many Copts do, Amanina never labels it for them; whether the word "Arab" belongs to you is yours to decide.

Heritage in the story, not in the filter

Amanina does not sort members by nationality. There is no Egyptian-only pool, because a pool built on origin would quietly exclude the person who grew up in Cairo and Toronto both, or the Sudanese or Palestinian neighbour who might be exactly right. Instead you say what your heritage, your dialect and your family's home mean to you, and that becomes part of how an introduction is chosen and explained. Heritage counts neither for nor against anyone.

The questions an Egyptian family asks, asked first

Faith and observance, family closeness, how you picture a home, whether you would move, what a Friday or a Sunday looks like: Amanina asks these at the start, in your own words, so that the introductions that reach you already answer them. Each introduction comes with a plain-language read of why this person and you might fit and the one honest question worth asking first.

Family has a seat

You can invite a parent or a trusted elder to take part in a structured, respectful way. They see what you choose to share, when you choose to share it, and a mother can open the door for her adult child and hand it over with consent. Conversations open only when both people say yes; photos stay private until both choose.

Across Canada, verified, no app store

Amanina speaks English, Canadian French and Arabic, with a full right-to-left Arabic interface. Every member verifies they are a real person before being introduced to anyone. There is no App Store to visit: open amanina.ca in your browser and add it to your home screen. Amanina is Canadian, based in Ottawa.
